The hype surrounding Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is at an all time high right now. After EA's solid presentation for the game at this year's E3, fans of the series have been quite taken with this latest installment. So far, it looks as if EA has learned their lesson from the previous game, and is going to right a lot of the wrongs that caused players to feel slighted. The DLC's will be free, there will be cross-era play, and the beloved class system has made a triumphant return.
To let players test out what's in store, a Beta will be here on October 6-9, and 4-9 for players who have pre-ordered it. Players will get a chance to try the four classes presented at E3, as well as playing two game modes: Galactic Assault on Theed and Starfighter Assault, the location for the latter is unknown at this time. The only information given regarding Starfighter Assault was the fact that it would be set during the original trilogy and lets players control an assortment of spacecraft.
EA has mentioned that more details about Starfighter Assault will be featured at Gamescom, so we can look forward to that.
