Despite turning a year old, EA still has plans to continue supporting
Star Wars Battlefront II in the new year. The developer released an updated roadmap highlighting new content coming in January and February 2019.
Star Wars Battlefront II plans on kicking things off in January 2019 with the release of Count Dooku, the menacing Sith Lord who voluntarily left the light side and became a disciple of Darth Sidious. Count Dooku was a central figure in the Clone Wars keeping in line with EA's push for
Clone Wars content in the game.
January will also see the arrival of new Clone Trooper appearances in the form of the Coruscant Guard.
"These elite clone troopers were tasked to keep the peace on Coruscant," EA teased.
In February, we'll be getting Anakin Skywalker, one of the
Star Wars franchise's most iconic characters and a fitting addition to the game considering he's the one who ultimately kills Count Dooku. Anakin Skywalker has a rich history in
Star Wars lore so it's a little shocking that it has taken this long for him to be featured in
Battlefront II.
Additionally, a new game mode
"featuring capture points and capital ship takedowns" is coming in February. EA says we'll learn more in February but they also teased Venator-Class Destroyer and Dreadnaught Capital Ship Interiors. More specifically, they wrote,
"Fight through the Venator-class Destroyer of the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Dreadnaught as part of our new game mode, featuring capture points and capital ship takedowns."
While we'll have to wait until the new year to learn more about what's coming to
Star Wars Battlefront II it's nice to have an idea of what's on the way.
