Star Wars Battlefront was widely criticised for not featuring a single player or story mode but the upcoming sequel - which is now less than a month away from being released - is going to make up for that in a major way. Today, a new single player story mode has been released which sheds even more light on what's to come in this in-canon tale set shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi

As you can see, characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Maz Kanata from Star Wars: The Force Awakens all appear here and while those will probably be only very brief appearances, it will be interesting to get at least some details about what happened to them after the Death Star was destroyed especially as there were so many years between the events of the current trilogy.

The story looks good on the surface but whether or not the gameplay will live up to that remains to be seen. Are you excited for Star Wars Battlefront II? Let us know your thoughts down below.
