It looks like the title of the upcoming
Alien game has been out there for quite some time, as FoxNext registered two Twitter accounts for
Alien: Blackout back in September, leading to the recent copyrighting of
Alien: Blackout. Considering that
Alien: Blackout already has a registered trademark and two Twitter accounts, it's pretty clear that Fox is getting ready to announce the game at some point.
According to unconfirmed information,
Alien: Blackout is an Unreal Engine 4 title, that won't feature a single-player component, as it's a multiplayer-only title. What's even more interesting,
Blackout might be a next-gen title that will be released for PlayStation 5, the Xbox One successor codenamed
Scarlett, and naturally PC. Please remember that it's just a rumor that may or may not turn out to be true.
The fact that a FoxNext logo is showcased on the game's inactive Twitter page basically confirms that
Alien: Blackout is being designed at ColdIron, a studio that was purchased by FoxNext Games in January. The recent rumor has it that FoxNext will officially reveal the first trailer for
Alien: Blackout during the upcoming Game Awards 2018, as
Building Better Worlds will start on December 6, 2018.
