The open-beta for
Battlefield V will be beginning later this week for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. In preperation for the event, you are now able to pre-download the beta.
By going to the
Battlefield V page on each console's respective stores, you'll be able to add the beta to your download-queue. Meanwhile, PC players will have to head over to
Battlefield V's page using Origin - and hit the "Try It First" button, which will add it to your library. It's as simple as that. The application for the beta will be pretty useless until it officially begins on September 6th - or, for those who pre-ordered the game, September 4th - and run until September 11th.
All of your progress within the beta will carry over into the full game - which releases on October 19th. The open-beta will consist of two maps: Arctic Fjord and Rotterdam. Only two gamemodes will available: Conquest and the new "Grand Operations" mode. The open-beta's file size, for Xbox One at least, is 10.95 GB - and while you require Xbox Live Gold to take part in the beta on Xbox One, PlayStation Plus isn't required to take part on PS4.
