Given that Gearbox Software has been teasing new announcements at PAX East 2019 on their Twitter for quite some time, it's not surprising that the company’s CEO Randy Pitchford has joined the party.

"I only got three hours of sleep last night and then I had to visit three different cities in three different states today," Pitchford wrote on Twitter today. Considering that he's been talking about Borderlands 3 since November 2018, there's a big chance that the third entry in the acclaimed game series will be finally revealed at Gearbox's PAX East 2019 panel that will take place on March 28th.

The developer has already confirmed that players can expect to see some "never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises" during the main show, indicating that the long-rumored Borderlands Game of the Year Edition could also be showcased this Thursday alongside a Borderlands VR experience.

Please remember that until anything is officially announced, consider everything reported on this subject nothing more than a rumor (but yeah, Borderlands 3 is happening rather sooner than later).
