Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13th, on the same day that the PlayStation 5 console releases. The Xbox Series X releases three days earlier on November 10th. There's less than a month to go until then and we're currently amidst the final beta for the upcoming instalment in the long-running first-person shooter video game series.
Activision, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward have begun a collaboration which will allow players to rank up in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone whilst playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta. Specifically, they're offering a way for players to progress through the battle pass.
For instance, by levelling up to Rank 10 in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta, you will unlock three tier skips for the battle passes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone (via @CallofDuty). If that wasn't good enough, you can earn a tier skip simply by playing the beta at all.
This is certainly a good way to reward players, as their progress in the beta will not carry over to the final game. It also acts as a good way to incentivise more people to participate in the beta, which will subsequently provide the devs over at Treyarch with more data that they can use to improve the final product.
