Season 8 of
Fortnite's Battle Royale
dropped anchor today and with it comes a brand new Battle Pass filled with cosmetic rewards for you to unlock. The Battle Pass operates as it has in past seasons; you complete in-game challenges each week to earn stars to reach new tiers. Each new tier you achieve unlocks a new cosmetic.
Season 8's Battle Pass once again features over 100 cosmetics in the form of Outfits, Wraps, Emotes, Pets, and more. Season 8 does not feature a new type of reward, unlike Season 7 which introduced Wraps and Season 6 which brought adorable pets.

A new season also means a brand new Battle Pass. Over 100 new exclusive rewards are ready for you to unlock, and it still costs the same 950 V-bucks. This season, you get the Blackheart and Hybrid progressive outfits instantly when you purchase the Battle Pass, both of which can level-up to unlock new styles.
Fortnite Season 8's Battle Pass is priced at 950 V-Bucks (about $10) if you didn't already unlock for free by
completing Season 7's Overtime Challenges.
The Battle Pass is estimated to take 75 to 150 hours of play to unlock all tiers and rewards. You can opt to purchase the Battle Bundle and get a head start by instantly unlocks your next 25 tiers at a 40 percent discount for 2,800 V-Bucks. Or you can purchase individual tiers for 150 V-Bucks each.
If you're not sure if you want to commit to the time it takes to unlock all tiers, you can still unlock some cosmetics for free. Season 8 will offer a lower tier battle pass for free that includes some rewards such as the Hello Friend Emote, Master Portal Backbling, Snakebite Pickaxe, Cinder Glider, Coral Chorus Music, and more.
New to the Battle Pass is a feature called Part Assist. This allows you to complete challenges with the help of everyone in your party, so if someone in your squad gets a headshot as part of a challenge, the entire party gets credit.

Fortnite Season 8 is now live and is expected to run 10 weeksn, ending on Wednesday, May 8.
