According to the FAQ on the official site (www.hawkengame.com), Hawken is a multiplayer mech combat game. The focus is on creating an intense and enjoyable battle experience that captures the feeling of piloting a heavy war machine while keeping the action fast-paced and strategic.

So far they have two unique team game modes as well as team deathmatch and free-for-all deathmatch.

There's no release date yet for the game. Adhesive Games has stated that it will be released "when it's done." The team hopes to release the game for the PC, Xbox 360 and PC. Not only that, their goal is to make it a downloadable game to help keep prices down.
