The third annual Overwatch Anniversary event will begin next week. This upcoming event will see the introduction of new cosmetic items (some of which will be Legendary or Epic in their rarity) as well as the reintroductions of those which were previously only available in-game for a limited time. Not to mention, some limited-time gamemodes.

Beginning on May 21st, the celebratory event will continue until June 10th. For the first week of that time, that's until May 28th, Overwatch will be playable for free on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Even those participating in the free trial can take part in the afformentioned festivities.

Blizzard, the studio behind Overwatch, recently took to Twitter (@PlayOverwatch) to announce the coming event. Specifics about the coming event are currently unknown but will presumably be revealed as the Anniversary event approaches. So stay tuned to Gamefragger as we'll likely cover it.
