Now that Black Friday is a week-long event, it's harder to track when and where to find the best deals. Many retailers have already launched their holiday sales, temporarily dropping the price of video games and electronics.
This year's Black Friday deals offer a temporary reprieve for consumers who have been impacted by tariffs and supply shortage. As previously announced, Sony's PlayStation 5 is getting a $100 price cut for at least the week of Black Friday. This deal applies to all PS5 models and can pretty much be found at every major retailer.

This is an all-digital console, meaning it does not include a disc drive to play physical games. This pretty much puts you at the mercy of the PlayStation Store for all your digital PS5 game purchases and any deals. It comes with a 1TB SSD for storage.

The most powerful of the PS5 console family, the PS5 Pro delivers significantly better performance, advanced ray tracing, and higher frame rates in PS5 Pro enhanced games. This is an all-digital console with no disc drive but does feature a 2TB SSD. If you've got a bit of a bigger budget this year and want the most powerful PlayStation gaming console, the PS5 Pro is probably your best options.

Are this year's PS5 Black Friday deals worth it?
Sony’s Black Friday 2025 PS5 deals mostly reverse the price hikes introduced earlier this year. The discounts do make the PlayStation 5 cheaper than its current MSRP, but for many shoppers the sale effectively restores the console to the same price it had at launch five years ago. While not a massive price cut, it’s still one of the best PS5 Black Friday offers available and a good chance to upgrade if you’ve been waiting for a return to launch-level pricing.
