During the BlizzCon's opening ceremony earlier today, Overwatch's very own Jeff Kaplan took to the stage to unveil another of their stunning cinematics. This animated short in-particular is focused on everybody's favourite cyborg-cowboy: Jesse McCree.
While he's just as badass as ever, the real star of the show is without a doubt Ashe, a new character who will be coming to Overwatch as a playable character soon. Though there's clearly a lot of history between the two, Ashe seems to serve as a nemesis to McCree - much like Reaper and Soldier 76's relationship.
Check it out for yourself below:
This short's animation is absolutely Blizzard's greatest, most stunning attempt thus far. The action, which kicks off at noon, rivals that of their previous action-oriented shorts - like "Alive" and "Dragons".
But it's not all stunning visuals as the cinematic also has a ton of juicy story content. McCree is finally given more depth beyond cliche-Western-character and the final reveal will surely have fans speculating until Hero #30 is added.
What do you think of the short? Are you looking forward to taking control of Ashe once she's added to the game?
Overwatch is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
