RAGE 2, JUST CAUSE 4, SPLINTER CELL, ASSASSIN'S CREED, GEARS OF WAR 5, BORDERLANDS 3 And More LEAK Online
There's no reason to wait for E3 2018 anymore, as Walmart's official website just revealed that we will play Rage 2, new Assassin's Creed, Forza, Splinter Cell, Just Cause 4 and many more in a couple of months!
There's a big chance that we're witnessing the biggest leak in the long history of video gaming. It's unclear what has actually forced Walmart Canada to release online this particular slate of video games, but creating placeholders is nothing new, and usually serves as an additional, secret information for investors. This should not have happened and it seems that E3 2018 will feel less special.
Most of these titles are unannounced and have since been removed from Walmart Canada's website, but it’s very likely that this American multinational retail corporation just spoiled a couple of potentially enormous E3 surprises that would've been announced by Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Bethesda. However, it’s still a rumor, so it’s up to you to believe whether these are real or not.
Let's take a look at the biggest reveals. According to Walmart, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell "2018" is a real thing and after a brief cameo in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Sam Fisher will return in his own series. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 was officially announced in March, and Beyond Good and Evil 2 was one of the most pleasant surprises of last year's E3. It looks like Ubisoft will also bring back Assassin's Creed, but it's highly unlikely the next chapter of the saga would be released in 2018.
Squere Enix won't caught us off guard with the announcements of Just Cause 4 (the third chapter of Rico Rodriguez's adventures launched three years ago), the Xbox One version of Final Fantasy VII: Remake (which would repeat the situation with Final Fantasy XIII), and Dragon Guest (1)2.
As expected, Borderlands 3 will be Gearbox's big surprise as Bethesda and idSoftware apparently are not working on the continuation of the Doom reboot, but are trying to revive the Rage series instead.
Microsoft allegedly won't stop milking their old IPs and we should get ready to play another installments of the Gears of War, Forza Horizon (the fourth one is all but confirmed and will be set in Japan), and Insurgency franchises.
It's unclear what Destiny Comet actually is, but Activision definitely won't stop releasing new Destiny games every year anytime soon, so maybe Comet is a working title of the next expansion. Comet was also the fake name of Destiny's DLC from 2015 known today as The Taken King.
Nintendo should be really happy as all their leaked today games were properly announced in the past. So, what do you think about this Walmart's epic campaign? As always - remember that taking a grain of salt from time to time is necessary for your (mental) health. Take a look:
