Dark Horse Will Publish EXTREMIS MALIS Comic Series Based On TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION 2

Ubisoft has announced that they are cooperating with Black Horse Comics on the Extremis Malis mini-series that will serve as an introduction to the post-pandemic world of Tom Clancy's The Division 2...

Set in Washington D.C., Tom Clancy's The Division 2 takes place seven months after the deadly virus was released in New York and ruined the once-great city. Just like the first Division, the sequel will spotlight people who banded together to survive by any means necessary, this time facing the True Sons, a militaristic faction made up of mutineers and criminals who believe that might makes right.

Dark Horse Comics and Ubisoft have proudly announced that their new mini-series Extremis Malis is the latest entry into the Tom Clancy's The Division series. Extremis Malis is written by Christofer Emgard (The Whispering Dark, Mirror's Edge, Exordium), with Fernando Baldo (Deep Gravity, Thief) as the artist, and Michael Atiyeh (Conan the Avenger, Green Lantern: Rebirth) as the colorist.

According to Extremis Malis' synopsis, it takes place "months after a bioweapon attack devastated New York City, the Division agents are the last hope of a United States struggling to hold itself together. During a mission gone horribly wrong, Division Agent Caleb Dunne's partner is gruesomely killed and Dunne vows to track down the mysterious woman responsible. As he gathers clues to her whereabouts, he uncovers a grave threat to a nation already on the brink of total collapse."

Led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with seven other studios around the world, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped establish. The first issue for The Division: Extremis Malis will go on sale January 9, 2019, priced at $3,99. Be sure to take a look at the stylized cover art that was helmed by the talented J.P. Leon from DMZ and Static, and the recently released preview panels down below:
