EA Sports has officially unveiled the cover art for EA Sports College Football 27. While the game's full reveal is still scheduled for Thursdsay, June 4, today's announcement confirmed that EA Sports College Football 27 will launch worldwide on July 9.
We also go our first look at the artwork that will be featured on the covers of both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition of this year's game.
As previously reported, Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy will be featured on the cover of the Standard Edition of College Football 27, while Texas linebacker Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore, and USC quarterback Jayden Maiava will grace the cover of the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition will also feature national championship-winning coach Curt Cignetti, and several beloved mascots.
“Being on the cover of EA SPORTS College Football 27 is an absolute privilege after growing up a fan of the game,” said Moore. “Coach Lanning and The Duck were on last year's Deluxe Edition, and now to carry that legacy forward and represent Oregon myself makes me really proud.”
“Having this opportunity after only my freshman year means everything to me. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of the Miami community, and this honor of knowing EA believes in what I’m capable of deepens my drive to show up for the program and the fans who have believed in me from day one,” added Toney.
While we'll have to wait for Thursday to see actual gameplay and learn of any new features, game modes, and improvements in this year's game, EA did confirm that College Football 27 will launch on July 9. A 10-hour Early Access trial, available for EA Play members, will start on July 2.
Today's press release didn't include any additional launch details, such as platforms, pre-order bonuses, and things of that nature, though leaked listings have revealed many of these details already.
The most notable leak has been details of an EA Sports MVP Plus program, which is presumably a monthly/yearly subscription that will provide enchanced benefits for both College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27. This will include seven-day early access to the games, monthly Ultimate Team content packs, and beta benchmarking participation.
In College Football 27, you'll also receive 150 Dynasty Coach Points, the exclusive Rainmaker skill tree, 500 Road to Glory points, and unlocked mascots for the Mascot Mashup mode. The Deluxe Edition will also include 4600 College Football Points, an 83-rated Cornerstones player choice, themed challenges, and one upgradeable player for Ultimate Team. There's no mention of the early access with the Deluxe Edition only.
