We may be less than a month until the reveal of Madden NFL 27. The official store pages for this year's installment in EA's annual football series have gone live, teasing the "next chapter of the legendary football game."

Unfortunately, no specific gameplay details have been revealed through the page, though EA promises new gameplay, mode updates, and more. The reveal is said to be "coming soon," though history suggests it may be officially announced in June.

The next chapter of the legendary football game is coming soon with Madden NFL 27. Experience all-new gameplay, mode updates, and more as you step onto the gridiron and play for NFL glory. Add to your wishlist now to stay updated.

Madden NFL 27 can be added to your wishlist on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintnedo Switch 2, and PC (Epic Games Store and Steam). The Xbox store specifically states that Madden 27 will release in August, which is in line with previous installments.

Last year's Madden 26 was officially announced in April as part of a marketing push with EA Sports College Football 26 and the NFL Draft, but didn't release until August 14. This year's NFL Draft has already come and gone so a June reveal is looking most likely.

That is more in line with EA's previous marketing pushes. Madden NFL 25 was revealed on June 11 and launched on August 16, while Madden NFL 24 was announced on June 7 and released on August 18.

It's worth noting that EA has also started to ramp up its marketing for College Football 27. Like Madden, store pages for this year's college football game have also gone live, teasing a similar announcement coming soon.

It's possible that EA could once again try to market the two games together, trying to connect the full football pipeline between college and professional football. EA's College Football game does usually release a month earlier than Madden, but it's possible both games could be revealed around the same time, especially since there's typically a "MVP Bundle" that packages both the college and NFL games together.

The Madden community has been pretty straightforward with what they want to see in this year's game, and that's pretty much the feel of a true next-gen football simulation. There's been a particular call from fans to overhaul the Franchise mode, which has taken a back seat to Ultimate Team in recent years. Fans want deeper scouting, realistic contracts and negotiations, coaching staffs, expansion teams, and an immersive league presentation.

Franchise mode aside, fans are also calling for a fundamental overhaul of gameplay physics and AI. The game's movement and collision systems still feel anchored to scripted animations rather than real football, with standout complaints including unrealistic sack mechanics, defenders teleporting or warping into position, broken pursuit angles, and CPU quarterbacks completing passes that would be physically impossible in an actual game.

Hopefully EA has paid attention and makes at least some of these requests a reality in Madden 27.
