Bloober Team is significantly expanding its output. In a new interview with GamesIndustry.biz, studio CEO Piotr Babieno revealed that the Polish developer and its subsidiaries are actively working on seven video games, marking a major shift toward a multi-project structure while staying true to the studio’s roots in psychological horror.
This announcement comes on the heels of two major recent releases: the critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn. With momentum on its side, Bloober Team is now balancing ambition with sustainability by limiting itself to two core first-party productions at any given time.
Babieno outlined the current pipeline as follows:
- Layers of Fear 3 — Currently in development at subsidiary studio Broken Mirror Games. This is the only title publicly named among the five projects at the subsidiary.
- Project H — A brand-new, original IP described as Bloober Team’s new flagship title. It will embody the studio’s signature style: single-player horror with strong gameplay foundations, premium execution, and emotionally or socially resonant themes.
- Project M — A Nintendo console exclusive. Very little is known so far, but it is one of the two main first-party productions.
- Four unannounced projects — These are in various stages of development at Broken Mirror Games. One of them is believed to be the long-rumored Silent Hill 1 Remake, which entered full production in October 2025.
Babieno explained the decision to adopt a two-core-production model:
“We don’t want fewer than two productions, because relying on a single title creates too much risk in today’s market. But we also don’t want more, because quality, focus, and creative oversight would inevitably suffer. For us, two core productions are the right balance between ambition and responsibility.”
The first-party teams will continue focusing on single-player horror experiences, while Broken Mirror Games handles additional titles, including the Layers of Fear sequel.
To support this growth and multi-project approach, Bloober Team has brought in three experienced executives:
- Thaine Lyman (former Activision and Wargaming senior leader) — New Head of Studio.
- Katya Baukova (former Techland and CD Projekt Red) — Director of Business Development.
- Michał Gembicki (former CEO of Klabater SA) — Head of Publishing.
These appointments are expected to strengthen operations as the studio scales while maintaining creative quality.
Bloober Team has built a strong reputation for atmospheric, narrative-driven horror. The confirmation of seven active projects including a new original IP and a Nintendo exclusive suggests the studio is aiming to become a more consistent presence in the horror genre.
While details on most titles remain under wraps, the emphasis on emotional depth, strong gameplay, and premium production values aligns with what fans loved in The Medium, the Layers of Fear series, and the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Layers of Fear 3 is the first concrete project fans can look forward to from the subsidiary team, while Project H and Project M represent Bloober’s flagship ambitions for the coming years.
No release windows have been shared yet, but the studio’s increased capacity and new leadership signal a busier future. Horror fans should keep a close eye on Bloober Team in 2026 and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as we get them!
