During Nintendo's September Direct presentation last year, developer ToyBox announced that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise — direct sequel to the popular Deadly Premonition — was currently in the works for the Nintendo Switch; as a console exclusive title, no less.
What's more, the good news didn't stop there, as the developer also revealed that Deadly Premonition: Origins —a port of the original — was actually becoming available after the Nintendo Direct presentation was over; unfortunately, they didn't give us an official release date for the sequel.
Deadly Premonition, for those who may not be familiar with it, is a survivor horror game — directed by Hidetaka Suehiro(SWERY65) and developed by Japanese studio Access Games — that was initially released in 2010 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows.
Deadly Premonition: A Blessing in Disguise is a direct sequel to the first game, and it is also following the story of FBI Special Agent Francis York — who, this time, finds himself encountering a mysterious serial murder case in the city of New Orleans, 2005.
Today ToyBox has some great news for fans of the Deadly Premonition series, as they have revealed that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will finally become available for the Nintendo Switch on the 10th of July, and have also released a very James Bond-esque trailer that seems to be the game's opening sequence.
