Striking Distance Studios, led by Glen Schofield and the team behind the Dead Space franchise, are on a mission - to create the most terrifying video game ever!
Judging by the extended and uncesnored red band version of their cinematic trailer for the upcoming The Callisto Protocol, they're off to a great start! I've included it below for your viewing pleasure! Note that it IS age-restricted on YouTube, so you'll need to jump through that hurdle. Needless to say, it's worth it!
Set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror. The game challenges players to escape the maximum security Black Iron Prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. A blend of horror, action, and immersive storytelling, the game aims to set a new bar for horror in interactive entertainment.
The original cinematic trailer debuted during The Game Awards a week ago as part of the official reveal. Glen Schofield and former Visceral Games GM Steve Papoutsis joined fans to answer questions that were submitted by the community earlier this week as part of today's reveal.
Schofield, Founder and CEO, Striking Distance Studios shared: “We’ve built a world class studio of passionate developers that is ready to once again tackle one of our all-time favorite genres—survival horror. We’re setting out to make one of the most terrifying games of all time, and we can’t wait to share more about The Callisto Protocol next year.”
