Hyper Light Drifter is a 2D action role-playing game developed by Heart Machine and published by Playism that was released on Steam in March of 2016, with PlayStation 4, Xbox One ports of the game coming out in July of the same year.

In the game, players take control of the Drifter, who is consumed by an insatiable illness and is travelling through the lands of Buried Time in order to find something to ease his pain. The world of Hyper Light Drifter is genuinely disturbing, in all the right ways; it is surreal enough to tell a story of despair akin to the one the Drifter is going through.

Today, we got news that a special edition of the game will be coming out for the Nintendo Switch on the 6th of September, which will include a bunch of exclusive content not found in other versions. Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition is also including the Tower Climb challenge that, upon completion, will grant powers a new outfit that can help players find hidden items and weapons.

The wait is over, the worldwide acclaimed game Hyper Light Drifter is finally here with this impressive Special Edition! Runs at 60fps, includes new exclusive content and all the previously released remastered for a perfectly immersive gaming experience to play anywhere.

Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 6th of September.
