A few months back, Jeff Goldblum joined the E3 festivities to reveal Jurassic World Evolution 2, the next installment in Frontier Developments' dinosaur park management simulation. During Gamescom today, it was confirmed that the park will open on November 9 as Jurassic World Evolution 2 launches across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The highly anticipated sequel builds off the success of its predecessor, expanding beyond the. Muertes Islands. Now you can build your very won dino parks across distinct environments that range from dense forests to rocky deserts and sunny tropics. Each will offer their own unique terrain and environmental challenges.
There's also an original Campaign mode that drops you into an original story that follows the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and offers expanded construction options and more customization choices.
With the help of Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) and Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum), players will help lead the efforts of the DFW (Department of Fish and Wildlife) across the continental U.S. establishing new facilities across a range of locations in order to control, conserve and contain wild dinosaurs.
The new Chaos Theory mode allows you to revisit pivotal moments from the Jurassic Park/World films and play through "what if" scenarios.
Whether realizing John Hammond’s dream of an operational Jurassic Park, showcasing a T. rex in the San Diego Amphitheatre, or building and running their own Jurassic World with the support of iconic characters such as Dr. Henry Wu (voiced by BD Wong), players can experience events from their favorite films like never before as they find themselves at the helm of managing new challenges and altering outcomes.
And if you're just looking to unleash some creativity, hop into the Sandbox mode. Here, players have all the tools they need to create their very own Jurassic Park. Challenge mode offers some direction in the form of missions with escalating difficulty to test your management skills.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 boasts over 75 prehistoric species to discover, including flying and marine reptiles as well as community-favorite dinosaurs. As you discover and hatch these prehistoric creatures, you can watch them interact with each other and the world around them. Or you can test your bioengineering skills to customize your own dinosaurs and alter genomes to discover new traits, colors and patterns.
