Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for just over a week's time. The first-person shooter sees the popular first-person shooter franchise return to its roots with realistic and modern combat.
Recently,
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was subject to an update. The latest patch for the shooter features the return of two fan-favourite modes.
First of all, there's Kill Confirmed. This mode first featured in
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and has been a staple of the series since. When an enemy or a teammate is taken out, they'll drop a pair of dog tags. You have to pick up enemy dog tags to earn points for your team and pick up the dog tags of teammates in order to prevent your enemy team from getting points.
Secondly, there's NVG Team Deathmatch. This mode was present within the beta for
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare but was promptly removed from the base game at launch in order to be further tweaked and developed. It's a traditional Team Deathmatch game except it's set at nighttime and players have to make use of night-vision goggles in order to spot hostile adversaries.
As well, there's general fixes and improvements to the overall multiplayer side of the game. You can read a full list of what has been updated and what's new over on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's dedicated subreddit —
