DC UNIVERSE ONLINE's Newest Episode Concludes 'The Metal Saga'

New trailer for Episode 43: Dark Knights, DCUO's latest episode, serves as a direct sequel to Episode 42: legion of Doom and highlights a destroyed Washington D.C. and a multiverse on the verge of collapsing!

Dimensional Ink Games launched Episode 43: Dark Knights earlier today. The latest episode in the free-to-play MMO DCUO (DC Universe Online) serves as a direct sequel to the previous Episode 42: Legion of Doom and will serve as the conclusion to the "Metal Saga" that began back in Episode 35: Metal Part 1. A new gameplay trailer was released today highlighting the aftermath of the previous episode, including a Washing D.C. taht's been destroyed and a multiverse that's sits on the brink of collapsing.

Episode 43: Dark Knights includes characters from "Dark Knights: Death Metal" including Perpetua, The Devastator, Darkfather, and The Murder Machine. Other features include:

  • Event, Normal, and Elite versions of all On Duty missions: a Duo, Alert, and Raid.
  • Open world missions and bosses set in a destroyed Washington D.C..
  • Storyline adventures set across the Multiverse, including at the Source Wall itself and in a (mostly) destroyed version of Washington D.C. 
  • The new Death Metal Batman ally
  • New player rewards, including gear, styles, artifacts, and more.

The new DCUO episode is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be landing on the Nintendo Switch later this month.

In DC Universe Online, you create your own unique Super Hero or Super-Villain in the legendary DC universe. Fight alongside hundreds of iconic DC characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman as well as thousands of other players. Level up your powers, master movement modes like flight, learn powerful attacks, and swoop into skillful action combat using a variety of weapons, gadgets, and artifacts.

The game is developed by Dimensional Ink Games and co-published by Daybreak Game Company and WB Games. It is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC. It was firest released in January of 201 for the PlayStation 3 and landed on the PlayStation 4 in November 2013. It launched for the Xbox One in April of 216 and the Nintendo Switch in August of 2019.
