Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 is a game developed and published by Capcom that compiles all of the 8 games in the
Mega Man X series.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 includes
Mega Man X titles 1 through 4, and
Mega Man X Legacy Colelction 2 features
Mega Man X4 through
X8—making for a pretty good deal for veteran players and newcomers to the series alike.
Both
Mega Man X Legacy Collection titles are bundled together in one package if players go for the physical copy of the game. The Nintendo Switch version includes
X Legacy Collection 1 and a download code for
X Legacy Collection 2. If players choose to purchase the collection digitally,
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 are sold separately.
As the game just became available today, we get a brand new trailer that goes over the features that players will find within the game. We get a quick introduction to the main characters in the series—X, Zero, Axl, and main antagonists Vile and Sigma—as well as a good look at the new X-Challenge Mode that pits X against two Mavericks at once.
The
Mega Man X Legacy Collection games will also include a Filter option that allows players to switch between two different filters that make the pixels smoother—emulating the look of classic CRT monitors—or simply turn the filters off.
Mega Man X7 and
Mega Man X8 have also been tweaked a bit and have got an HD treatment.
A Museum Mode has also been added, in which players can go through the concept art gallery, listen to the game's music, check out classic products and marketing for the
X series, take a look at all the old trailers for the games, and watch the prologue
Mega Man X animated movie: The Day of Sigma.
