Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be making its debut in about two weeks and
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to release next year. What else does the future hold for
Star Wars video games?
Well, Electronic Arts recently confirmed that yet another
Star Wars game is in the works. This reveal took place during their recent earnings call — wherein they also confirmed that
a new Battlefield game will release at some point between April 2021 and March 2022. Similarly, the release window of the untitled
Star Wars video game was revealed.
It's said that the
Star Wars game will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox's Project Scarlett, and also probably the PC. EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said this about the title (via
PCGamesN):
“There’s some other Star Wars stuff that might drop into [financial year] ’22 or maybe even earlier, but more to come on that."
EA's 2022 fiscal year begins in April 2021 and ends in March 2022. Therefore, the
Star Wars game in question will arrive at some point between those months. No other information was revealed — not even the name of the studio that's developing the title.
What could the game be? We won't know for sure for a while but it could be anything from something unprecedented like
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to another
Star Wars Battlefront game — though the most recent one was controversial, the games proved to be quite successful for EA in the long run.
Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the November 15th, 2019.
