Fans eager to jump into People Can Fly's upcoming RPG-shooter Outriders will be able to do so today. The previously announced demo officially goes live today, February 25, at 5pm GMT / 6pm CET / 9am PT. It's available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC/Steam.
The demo will feature the entire opening chapter of the game's campaign and while that should only run you about three hours, it's quite possible you'll spend more time than that with the game as the demo will offer the ability to create multiple classes. Not only will you be able to try out all four classes in the game -- Devastator, Pyromancer, Technomancer, and Trickster -- but you'll also be able to level each one up to Level 7. Doing so will unlock the class's fourth ability as well as two skill points that you can apply to the skill tree. All of the progress made in the demo will carry over into the full game upon release as long as it's the same platform.
Ahead of the demo's release, People Can Fly hosted its fifth Broadcast for the game, highlighting the contents of the beta and diving deep into the PC version of Outriders -- including the amount of effort it took to get the game compatible with a variety of system specs.
Outriders is set to launch on April 1, 2021. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Store and GeForce NOW on PC and Google Stadia
