Lately, Panic Button has become almost a household name for Nintendo Switch owners. The Austin Texas based video game developer managed to successfully port Bethesda's
Doom(2016) to the Nintendo Switch, putting themselves on the map for the amazing job they did.
Bethesda also gave Panic Button the task to port another heavy hitter of theirs for the Nintendo Switch:
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Needless to say, Panic Button also delivered and managed to port the game, with some obvious limitations, to Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.
While there are some sacrifices to be made in order to port these games to the Switch, panic Button has been able to pull it off twice and they are also currently working on porting
Warframe to the Switch.
Back in July, Nintendo and Digital Extremes announced that
Warframe was coming to the Nintendo Switch and the game would be ported by Panic Button. What we didn't know is that Panic Button also took it upon themselves to improve all versions of
Warframe while at it.
The news comes from
Reddit user rufus40444, who spotted a tweet posted by Steve Sinclair, Video Game Director for Digital Extremes and
Warframe. In the tweet, Sinclair mentions that Panic Button is not only giving some performance issues to the Switch version of
Warframe but all versions are getting an overhaul by fixing his "crappy critical section sync" between visibility jobs, as well as making all versions of
Warframe faster.
They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun – masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the Old War were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.
Warframe will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 20th of November.
