It was announced today that the official video game of the FIA World Championship, WRC 9, will be released this year on September 3rd. This will be the first WRC title to hit the Playstation 5 and the XBOX Series S.
In addition to this news, Nacon (formerly Bigben) announced that their developer studio KT Racing is also developing WRC 10 and WRC 11 to be released around 2022. Just as WRC 8 saw multiple improvements, WRC 9 is said to as well, including improved realism of car physics that help to take the authenticity to the next level.
When playing WRC 9, gamers are given the opportunity to explore the FIA World Championship with all content in the yearly calender. The title also features three additional rallies with Japan, New Zealand, and Kenya. In addition there are also over fifteen bonus cars included as well as fifty original teams from WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3, and WRC Junior.

WRC9 will release on September 3rd, 2020 for PS4, XBOX One, and PC through the Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch version coming at a later date. The game will also see a future release on both PS5 and XBOX Series S.
