2015's space combat adventure game
Rebel Galaxy was a pleasant surprise for gamers and a smash indie hit for Double Damage Games, so it's no surprise they announced today a follow-up -
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.
Although a sequel to the game,
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is actually a prequel to the story, set 34 years prior "in a series of star systems closer to old Earth." Players will assume the role of Juno Markev, a now-retired smuggler and outlaw who has attempted to lay low and settle down; but, as the newly released cinematic trailer reveals, Markev finds herself dragged back into the shady life after an encounter at a shady watering hold goes bad.
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw features high-octane space combat, over 20 hours of subspace radio, side activities like billiards and dice poker, plenty of sketchy characters to meet, and sketchier jobs to take on.
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, which is considered one of Double Damage Games' most ambitious titles to date, has a release window of Q1 2019. It's due out for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
