When Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games, the company that develops Fortnite, players weren't happy at all with the decision;
going as far as review bombing Rocket League, Psyonix's critically acclaimed vehicle/soccer game, as a way to show their discontent.
While some may not have like Psyonix being acquired by Epic Games, this new allegiance is already starting to look up — as it's been announced today that
Rocket League will be getting some 80s themed downloadable content that will make some fans reconsider review bombing the game.
The Radical Summer DLC has been revealed today, and it features some 80s Car Packs based on huge franchises from the 80s — from 80s Blockbusters to Culture and Television; promising players a
great time totally rad Summer.
The Blockbuster event will begin on the 10th of June through the 30th of June, with the
Ghostbusters car releasing on the first day and eventually getting other 80s vehicles like the iconic
Back to the Future's DeLorean.
80s Culture event will begin on the 1st of July until the 21st of July.On the 22nd of July the Television event will start, where the
Knight Rider car pack will be released, with items and wheels from some series from the 80s like
Voltron and even the
WWF.
