Yesterday, BioWare announced that their new IP,
Anthem, will be showcased at The Game Awards 2018 on December 6, featuring the release of a brand new cinematic trailer. As a reminder, BioWare will have one more video game to show at the upcoming gaming celebration -
Dragon Age 4. It looks like BioWare has no time to lose, as the company has released nearly 25 minutes of new
Anthem footage.
The gameplay was streamed yesterday during an
Anthem Twitch presentation, featuring an extended look at Fort Tarsis, characters, missions, inventory and the Forge, a special in-game area that allows you to customize your Javelin exosuit the way you like, including helmet, arms, chest, legs, paint, and animations. Fort Tarsis is your base of operations and one of humanity’s last fortified settlements.
EA has revealed that you will have a chance to see what
Anthem is all about relatively soon, as the
Anthem Closed Alpha will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One from December 8-9, 2018. Unfortunately, you can forget about streaming your playthrough, as if you are invited to a Community Playtest you must not talk about, stream, or otherwise share information about the game. Take a look:
In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers. Join up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful exosuits. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin exosuits grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.
Anthem will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) on February 22, 2019.
