According to the NPD Group, Anthem was the best-selling game in the United States for the month of February.

In addition, it was revealed that Anthem is the 2nd best-selling game of the year (so far) behind Kingdom Hearts III and that the game was the 2nd-best selling launch for Bioware behind Mass Effect 3. Given the current state of the game and the praise for The Division 2, March's NPD data will likely give a better indication of whether Anthem is here to stay or a flash in the pan. Given the hype surrounding the title, a big launch was somewhat inevitable, however, a big drop would be an indicator of a declining playerbase.
While the above date pertains to physical sales, new info from SuperData Research has revealed that Anthem has already made over $100M in digital revenue for Bioware.
To Bioware's credit, they've quickly provided updates to the title to fix glaring issues and improve obvious shortcoming. Update 1.04 will be released sometime next week.
