The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition was announced for the Nintendo Switch, to the surprise of many fans, during this year's E3; bringing CD Projekt RED's critically acclaimed role-playing title to a portable console for the first time.
While many fans of the series were ecstatic to find out that the game was coming to the Nintendo Switch, others were curious about the performance of it on Nintendo's hahdheld hybrid; and for good reason, since the console is underpowered when compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Without taking away from the Nintendo Switch's capabilities,
The Witcher III is a graphically demanding title, so fans worrying that the game may not run properly was to be expected; even though other developers have managed to successfully port some graphically demanding titiles in the past — albeit compromising graphics for performance.
Today, Digital Foundry has released a thorough tech breakdown of
The Witcher II: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition on the Nintendo Switch, revealing that not only is this version of the game a solid port, but also what they themselves call a mobile miracle.
