BioWare and EA dropped a brand new trailer for their upcoming third-person shooter Anthem during PAX West 2018.
The trailer features some new gameplay footage - which shows off a variety of combat techniques, exciting locations and menacing monsters. Bioware also explains how the NPCs of Anthem are much more complex than that of their previous titles - having their own interesting backstories and ambitions.
The story of Anthem sees players assume the role of Freelancers – a group of courageous individuals, clad in weaponized exosuits known as "javelins", who leave Fort Tarsis and explore the surrounding landscape to protect civilization from threats beyond the wall. The new trailer's main focus is to shine some light on how the game's dynamic world meshes with its intriguing story.
As the narrator of the trailer explains: "At the heart of Anthem is the concept of Our World, My Story – the distinctive combination of a shared, dynamic world and a personal story."
