Based on all of the marketing material for BioWare's Anthem, it may very well be the developers most ambitious game yet. But since the game is still months away from release, players will have to wait to see if the title lives up to the hype.
However, that hasn't stopped Mike Darrah, one of Anthem's many producers, from making some big promises to fans and gamers everywhere.
"So, I think for me a big lesson has been that... it's that you need to have enough on the first day so that there's a reason to stay," Darrah told US Gamer when asked about what lessons they've learned from other live service games. "And when more is coming then that's great. That's amazing. But I'm not just going to hang out and wait for the game to become complete. It has to be complete from day one."
Again, fans will have to wait until the game's release to see if it really does qualify as a "complete" game. But even if it doesn't live up to expectations, BioWare has already indicated that they will release post-launch content in a manner similar to Fortnite.
Anthem will officially be available to purchase on February 22, 2019.
