After the failure of the last
Mass Effect,
Anthem is BioWare's next big thing, a shared-world action-RPG, where players can delve into a vast world teeming with amazing technology and forgotten treasures. In this beautiful, unfinished, and seemingly abandoned by gods land, only the bold few have the courage to leave civilization behind, explore a landscape of primeval beauty, and confront the dangers.
To survive in this world,
Anthem will offer players a chance to control four different exosuits, called Javelins. Each of them has different abilities and movesets, and the IGN crew has uploaded as special video that focuses on the Javelins' incredible power sets. That's not all, as the outlet recently had a chance to check out
Anthem's latest build and you can take a look at their playthrough down below.
Two classes of Javelins were shown during
Anthem's presentation at Microsoft's E3 2017 conference - the Ranger, which is an all-around and balanced Javelin, and the Colossus, which, as the name suggests, is a heavy armored and more powerful suit made to fill in a tanking role. The video also spotlights the wizard Storm and the Interceptor, a rogue-style class that uses stealth to kill enemies.
In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers. Join up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful exosuits. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin exosuits grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.
Anthem will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) on February 22, 2019.
