According to BioWare, you can’t survive in the world of Anthem without a special Javelin exosuit, as this unfinished by gods universe is filled with dangerous beasts, ancient technology and hostile environments, including reckless wildlife. The Javelins are powerful suits of armor equipped with propulsion that allows you the fly and weapons with firepower you will need to complete missions.

The latest extended Anthem livestream was focused solely on the Ranger, the first Javelin you will suit up in after leaving you in-game home, Fort Tarsis. All Freelancers, the game's protagonists, train on the Ranger first in Anthem. Not because it’s the easiest, but because it’s the most versatile. In the hands of a master lancer, the Ranger can achieve feats of combat prowess that no other Javelin can touch.

The Ranger is only one of the four Javelin exosuits you will have a chance to control in the world of Anthem and the other three include the mighty Colossus, Interceptor, and Storm, and you can equip your own Javelins with the gear you want in The Forge, the game’s expanded inventory section. Be sure to take a look at the recent Anthem livestream hosed by Lead Producer Ben Irving down below:

In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers. Join up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful exosuits. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin exosuits grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.

Anthem will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) on February 22, 2019.
