RPG Maker MV is the one of the latest entries in the
RPG Maker series—the last one being released for the Nintendo 3DS in June 2017. The games originally came out all the way back in 1992 with
RPG Tsukuru Dante 98 in Japan. Although,
RPG Maker MV has been available in the West since October of 2015, the game had only been made available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Now,
RPG Maker MV has finally been announced for home consoles as publisher NIS America are making the games available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2019, although no official release date has been confirmed yet.
The concept of the
RPG Maker games is simple as it allows players to create their very own RPG adventure by coming up with the story, designing the world, sharing their games online, and all of that without any complicated coding.
RPG Maker MV Limited Edition has also been announced for all three home consoles and
pre-orders are currently available at the official site. The
Limited Edition will include the
RPG Maker MV physical copy of the game, an
RPG Maker MV Creator's Log for players to jot down all there notes, the Official Soundtrack for the game, and the mandatory Collector's Box.
