CD Projekt Red seems to be finally ready to talk about
Cyberpunk 2077, which was unveiled in 2013. Just
last month, the Electronic Entertainment Expo website confirmed that The Witcher trilogy's creators will attend E3 2018 showcasing a "Role-Playing" product as Everyeye.it editor Francesco Fossetti revealed that he will be attending an hour-long presentation hosted by CDP Red at E3 2018.
During last week's teleconference with investors, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński confirmed that the company treats
GWENT: The Witcher Card Game like an RPG, so the rumors that CDP Red is working on two big-budget RPG games were definitely exaggerated. "
We have a lot to share regarding Cyberpunk 2077, it will be a new title, a new world, so the marketing campaign for the game won't be quick," Kiciński said (translated into English).
The CEO explained that in his opinion, a short marketing campaign lasts a few months.
Assassin's Creed: Origins seems like a good comparison, as Ubisoft announced the game in June and released it in October. Considering that
Cyberpunk 2077 will be definitely shown at E3 2018, the RPG should hit the stores in late 2019 - early 2020. Until the game's upcoming official presentation, remember to take all the rumors surrounding
Cyberpunk 2077 with a healthy grain of salt.
