The apparently jaw-dropping 50-minute uncut gameplay demo of
Cyberpunk 2077 that was shown behind closed doors and away from cameras at E3 2018 indicates that the FPS is unlike anything CD Projekt has done before and clearly builds on the deep character interactions and storytelling the studio put on display with
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with elements which are similar to
Deus Ex.
CD Projekt Red has been silent since the unexpected revealing of
Cyberpunk 2077 six years ago and releasing a trailer a year later and then went underground, leaving sci-fi,
Blade Runner, the universe created by Mike Pondsmith, and RPG fans in the dark for a long time.
Cyberpunk 2077 officially retuned during the E3 2018, and what a return it was, showing off the gameplay trailer for the first time.
The Polish developer released a batch of brand new concept art that helped the studio to put that astonishing teaser together. The pictures look absolutely unique and fresh in their own right, and it's fun putting them side by side with their associated moments in the beloved E3 2018 trailer. CD Projekt Red doesn't know which year it'll release the game, but says it will arrive "
when it's ready."
Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. You play as V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend. Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the same universe as Mike Pondsmith's classic pen & paper RPG system, Cyberpunk 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077's release date doesn't exist yet.
