Although the presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 at gamescom 2018 was discrete, CD Projekt RED revealed interesting information about its upcoming and anticipated title. As you know, the RPG will have some sections designed to highlight the shooting mechanics and the Polish studio revealed who is taking care of that section.

According to a compilation of information about the presentation of CD Projekt RED in gamescom 2018 made by fans, a professional Counter-Strike player is part of the development of the title and is in charge of designing and polishing the shooting mechanics. According to the studio, this player was hired to ensure that the sections and situations in which he needs to shoot in Cyberpunk 2077 have an ideal design. They want the situations to be well received by the players as it is the first time they will venture into that territory.

Given the enthusiasm for everything related to Cyberpunk 2077, fans soon found out who the player collaborating with CD Projekt RED is. Their search took them to Lukasz "LUq" Wnek, former Polish professional Counter-Strike player. To give us an idea of the importance of Wnek, his history as a professional earned him a place as part of the Golden Five, a group of players whose team dominated the competitive Counter-Strike scene from 2006 to 2008.

In Cyberpunk 2077, the player will be thrown into a dark future. The metropolis of Night City is a stage set to tell the tale of one individual, raised on the streets, who tries to lift himself up from the gutter and find a way to survive amongst boostergangs and megacorporations in a city of filth and sin. Drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion haven’t disappeared by 2077, as people stayed they were for centuries – greedy, closed-minded and weak. But not only ghosts of the past trouble mankind, but new issues have appeared. Psychos go on rampages and the streets are filled with junkies addicted to a new form of entertainment – the braindance, a cheap way to experience the emotions and stimuli of someone else, someone living a more exciting life.
