Ever since his shocking appearance at this year's E3, CD Projekt Red has made it very clear that John Wick star Keanu Reeves would play a key role in Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand.
But as you might expect with a project that has this much excitement surrounding it, fans have been speculating about how large of a role the movie star would have in the RPG, with some fearing that he would be a glorified cameo.
Fortunately, during a recent interview on the E3 Coliseum (via IGN), CD Projekt Red CEO Marcin Iwiński shed some light on the size of Silverhand's role in the narrative.
"He’s the number two character in terms of lines and spoken text... [throughout the] entire game," Iwiński said, putting to rest a theories that Reeves would only make a brief appearance in the game. "I think we have something around 15-ish days of voice recording in the studio, so it’s huge. It’s huge. You will see a lot of Keanu, you will hear even more of Keanu in the game."
Although the CEO's comments don't reveal a ton of specifics about how Reeves' Johnny Silverhand will factor into the story of Cyberpunk 2077, it's pretty clear that he wants excited fans to know that the Bill & Ted actor will be featured prominently in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
