Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly anticipated first-person shooter that's coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April of next year. CD Projekt Red are the developers of the upcoming game and they're best known for the
Witcher video game series.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for the Nintendo Switch on October 15th.
Recently, John Mamais participated in an interview with
Gamespot during PAX Australia. The head of CD Projekt Red's Krakow office told the site what his thoughts are on post-launch microtransactions —
find out more on that here. He also commented on the chances that
Cyberpunk 2077 will join
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the Nintendo Switch.
"Who would have thought a game like The Witcher 3 would be possible on Switch, so who knows?" Mamais began optimistically before providing a more realistic answer.
"I guess we'll see, if we decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not."
Cyberpunk 2077 is looking to be one of the most ambitious and taxing games of the current generation of consoles. CD Projekt Red are pushing the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to its limits with the upcoming game. With that in mind, it makes sense that the game would be too much for Nintendo's versatile and portable console to handle.
Back in June, the
Cyberpunk 2077's lead quest designer commented on whether it's likely that the game will make its way onto the next generation of console — those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox's Project Scarlett — and
you can find out more on that here.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on April 16th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
