Just last week, players who have been impatiently anticipating the release of CD Projekt RED's ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 got the sour news that the game was being pushed back, and that it would no longer be releasing in September as initially planned.
Fans of the studio were more than understanding, since they know that a game as ambitious as Cyberpunk 2077 needs all the time in the world to be the best it can be. CD Projekt RED did let fans know that they were working hard to give players the best experience possible, which is definitely reassuring.
Not a day after the game was delayed, CD Projekt RED delivered the good news that Cyberpunk 2077 will be backwards compatible with both next-gen consoles. On top of this, they also revealed that the upgrade for players who own the current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade it to the next-gen version completely free of charge.
Could the developers still have any more surprises in store for fans? The answer is yes, as they have announced today that they will be sharing new information about Cyberpunk 2077 tomorrow, including a brand-new trailer and gameply footage, plus a chat with the developers.
According to CD Projekt RED's announcement, this information will be shared via the first episode of a series called Night City Wire, which will be an episodic series that the developers will be releasing prior to the game's long-awaited launch. The first episode is 25 minutes long and will be streaming live tomorrow at 6:00 PM CEST via CD Projekt RED's official Twitch channel.
