CYBERPUNK 2077: CD Projekt Red Reveals The Upcoming RPG Will Have More Romance Options Than THE WITCHER 3
We already know Cyberpunk 2077 will allow players to create a unique character, and now CD Projekt Red has revealed that the forthcoming RPG will also feature diverse romance options. More past the jump.
If you look at previous games published by CD Projekt Red, it shouldn't come as a surprise that their forthcoming sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, will feature a number of romanceable characters.
However, even though we've known that Cyberpunk 2077 will have several romance options, we little to no idea how this element of the game will compare to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Fortunately, on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, user magired1234 shared (via Game Informer) direct messages with designer Pawel Sasko, which addressed the romantic opportunities in the game.
"You can think that it's going to be similar to how Witcher 3 was – there were whole plotlines regarding character and if that NPCs were treated well and interested in Geralt, something was happening," Sasko wrote before making it clear that unlike The Witcher 3 players won't be confined to heterosexual options. "And of course players will have way more options then [sic] only heterosexual, as it was in the Witcher 3 (as Geralt was a defined character that was only interested in females). Here you can define what type of interactions your character prefers and have a relationship with that NPC/NPCs."
While many assumed the CD Projekt Red title would have more diverse romance options, it's still great to have official confirmation that the game will indeed feature LGBTQ+ relationships. Also, it's nice to know gamers won't have to learn a whole new way to play, as the game's romance system will function like most RPGs.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently set to launch on April 16, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
