CYBERPUNK 2077 Level Designer Discusses Side Quests And Night City Police
There are still plenty of mysteries surrounding CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, but now level designer Miles Tost has shed some more light on the game's side quests and threat posed by the Night City police
While it looks like it will be a long time before CD Projekt Red releases Cyberpunk 2077, the developers behind the highly anticipated game have consistently shared and discussed the details of the sci-fi RPG.
Just recently, the game's level designer, Miles Tost, briefly spoke with GamingBolt about the numerous side quests players will be able to take part in and how they can affect the main story.
"Side quests are great opportunities for us to tell stories of our cyberpunk world. After all, despite not being a part of the main questline, they are still connected to the world and can elaborate on certain parts of it, like the characters. So it’s all interwoven. And yes, that also means that our side quests could affect the main story."
Aside from commenting on the various side quests present in Cyberpunk 2077, Tost also talked about the police officers players will encounter, teasing their threat level.
"It’s really important to us to portray a world that you feel a part of, so naturally, the world also has to react to your presence," the developer explained. "Regarding this particular example, let me just say the Night City police don’t react lightly to people stepping out of the line. Their cyber implants, as well as advanced weaponry make them not a pushover, either."
In short, it seems the police will be pretty big threats. Of course, this shouldn't come as too big of a shock to those who watched the gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077, since the footage showed how cybernetic enhancements could turn ordinary people into weapons.
That said, players will have to wait until the title's release to experience first-hand what it's like to face off against the officers of Night City.
