Creative director Sebastian Stepian, who was also one of the lead writers on Cyberpunk 2077, recently left CD Projekt Red for Blizzard Entertainment, and raised a few questions about whether his departure would affect the upcoming sci-fi RPG.
Fortunately, the Polish studio, in a discussion with Stockwatch (as translated by Techspot), assured everyone that the development of Cyberpunk 2077 has not been impacted by Stepian's absence and revealed how many people are currently involve in the game's creation.
"His departure does not affect the pace of work on our latest title in any way. The team working on Cyberpunk 2077 already has over 400 people."
It's common for massive games like Cyberpunk 2077 to have a large amount of people working at one time, but it is worth noting that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt only had about 250 people working on the game at once.
Now, while having a vast amount of people involved in the creation of Cyberpunk 2077 isn't necessarily indicative of the game's quality, it does seemingly highlight how much the publisher wants to deliver on their promise that the RPG will be one of their most ambitious titles yet.
