Although pretty much every trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 has featured deadly violence, it appears the forthcoming CD Projekt Red title will give players the option to complete the game without taking a single life.
This interesting new detail came from a recent interview between Cyberpunk 2077's lead quest designer Paweł Sasko and PC Gamer, where Sasko said that aside from select "weapons that are lethal by definition", nearly everything else "has a nonlethal option." So, don't expect a bazooka to do anything but blow people to bits.
Furthermore, Sasko also added that it's not just weapons that come with non-fatal features, as this capability extends to a number of the tools player's have in their arsenal.
"Pretty much every gun, pretty much every cyberware, you're able to use in a nonlethal way," the designer explained. "You're able to knock them down, choke them, make them sleep and so on. There are ways not to kill them and spare them, like the way you could do with Sasquatch, the boss."
Of course, just because you don't need to give in to your bloodlust doesn't mean you will be able to abstain from violence altogether and embrace your inner pacifist. After all, Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game.
