Considering that the long-awaited
Cyberpunk 2077 will officially make an appearance at this year's E3, we definitely will learn some juicy details on the upcoming CD Projekt Red-created role-playing extravaganza this June, even if the game's release date will remain a big mystery for quite some time.
While the expo hasn't even started yet,
Cyberpunk 2077's Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz has shared his main inspirations for the game. In an interview with Area Jugones, Tomaszkiewicz revealed the names of three game series that helped him and the team at CDP Red come up with their own take on Mike Pondsmith's system:
Deus Ex, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, and
The Elder Scrolls.
Given that all the aforementioned titles are not only universally praised, but also quite revolutionary on their own terms, there's hope that the Polish game developer will also manage to bring something new and unexpected to the table. The fact that the developers of
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt are taking their time and try to keep their cards to their chest also makes
Cyberpunk 2077 that much more intriguing.
This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo will be held June 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
