CYBERPUNK 2077 Release Date Will Reportedly Be Pushed Back To 2020
With a release date rumored to be announced during E3 2019, the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 will reportedly be delayed until the first half of 2020. Hit the jump for more details on the game's possible delay.
About nine months ago, CD Projekt Red released a nearly 50-minute long gameplay video, and since then we haven't heard much about Cyberpunk 2077. However, with E3 2019 nearly upon us, expectations for the sci-fi RPG are high.
Yet, even with the possibility of new gameplay being showcased during E3, many fans are just anxious to learn more about when the highly anticipated video game will officially launch.
Now, after a recent rumor claimed a release date would be announced at E3 2019, Kotaku's Jason Schreier claims Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed until 2020. According to Schreier, the title was aiming for a 2019 release date, but CD Projekt Red reportedly felt "it was an unrealistic target."
While this may disappoint some fans, if true, it is still comforting to know that development on the title isn't being rushed so CD Projekt Red can hit a release date. Of course, we won't know if the extended wait will be worth it until we get to play Cyberpunk 2077 firsthand.
